In fact, this entire, much-talked-about "cooking episode" has been plagued by all kinds of issues from the get-go. First off, I was losing my voice after getting over a cold, so I sound like an inner tube with a slow leak. Then, in post, my computer started having technical problems and was slowing down and generally clunking. This might be caused by iMovie, which I was using at the time. Anyway, I managed to get the project about 85% done when I finally had to raise the red-flag and reinstall my system software (ok, upgrade to Mac OSX 10.4). But then my iMovie app won't run at all. So, in the interest of this thing seeing the light of day, I'm going to post what I got before the system went blooey. Watch for the fun of bad audio levels! Thrill to the excitement of montages without music! Laugh at the lip flap as my audio goes out of sync, manages to catch up, then wobbles into the finish line! (And keep listening at the end for an errant wild line...)

Started having system problems last week - slowdowns, errors, etc. Tried running disk utility, and disk utility would crash, which can't be a good sign. Ran a couple of programs - cache out x, VLC, etc., which helped a little. Was ultimately able to run Disk Utility, which verified that our disk had problems. Then finally tried to upgrade to OSX 10.4, but was unable to do so. Ran Disk Utility from the 10.4 startup disk and was told that my catalogue files have an incorrect # of thread records and that my catalogue hierarchy has an invalid volume file count. Ugh. So I ordered a backup hard drive from the Apple Store (thu the PRECISTV.com site naturally) and am preparing to back up the data before blowing away that whole corrupted drive. Anyway, we've got a delay of at least a couple of days here while we wait for the drive. In the meantime, we got a nice email reply from Mr. Martini from Behindthebarshow.com, one of the podcasts we're reviewing in an upcoming show. PRECIS TV wants to upgrade our production equipment, and we're wrestling with conceptual issues about what kind of camera to get. At PRECISTV.com we have some different video cameras in different price ranges - from $300 consumer cameras to $4000 HD rigs - and we're debating the future of this medium and the best tools with which to capture all the fun.

We're busy at work editing our newest bradzee show, in which bradzee and HelÃne make a great dinner and taste some great wines, including Painter Bridge from J. Lohr and a great Babcock Syrah. HelÃne makes a blackberry-infused salad and bradzee gives some tips for grilling the perfect prime filet mignon.
All in all, it's pretty different than the Disneyland show.
On other thoughts, we are constantly updating our sponsors page. We are thinking about this page as becoming hopefully a great one-stop online marketplace and resource for the PRECIS TV audience.
We've got a great collection so far, and we're working on others. Travel is obviously a big one, and we're hoping to lock down something soon. We'll also be putting up a Swedish section for our friends there.
