Description: Live Sketch Comedy.
“Who are The Pushers? And why am I drawn to them?” You ask yourself questions like this every single day. Who could blame you? I can’t help you with the second question, at least not yet, anyway. But let’s take a crack at the first one. “Who are the Pushers?” There are countless theories towards how The Pushers came to be. Some suggest they were started by Druid monks assigned the task of cheering up the gods to ensure a good harvest. Others believe they were devised by prisoners of the Spanish Inquisition who used sketch comedy as a form of currency. The most common held belief is that The Pushers were created by two American men who used their power of comedy for evil, instead of good… no, wait…that’s not right. I think it’s supposed to say good, instead of evil. Are you sure? Almost positive. Huh. Because if we leave it like it is, it makes them sound like… I don’t know. You know what I mean? Sure, sure, sure. You’re right, let’s go with your way. I mean am I going crazy or... No, not at all. I just think were both a little tired. Yeah, I think you're right. Let's just take a break and come back to it later. ok.

Title:Ed Sings
Date:Mon, 12 Jun 2006 18:42:49 GMT
Download File:
Description:Ed Carden has been a Pusher from day one. He's kind of The Pusher's work horse. No matter what the sketch... no matter what the role... no matter what degrading thing he has to do... if you ask Ed to do something, he does it. No questions asked. He just does it. We give Ed a hard time. Not a rehearsal or meeting goes by that the producers don't threaten to kick Ed out of the group. Not because Ed's not funny, or difficult to work with... but because we as producers are kind of dicks, and sometimes we get drunk on our own power, and we like to make examples of people. For some reason we always choose Ed. And Ed takes it. Because Ed's a good guy. This is a short interlude where we let Ed have the spotlight... because well... Ed deserves it. This is an interlude titled 'Ed Sings.' It was recorded live at The 40th Street Stage, on May 27th, 2006. Oh and Ed, if you're reading this... You're out of the group.
